Video – Simulated validation of unmanned cross‑border operation
In November OperA project partners completed a real‑time simulation which validated the concept of unmanned VCA cross‑border operations between Lithuania and Latvia. Partners demonstrated how the information exchange and operational procedures come together to ensure safe and seamless mission execution in different types of airspace.
🌍 It features real-time Pipistrel Nuuva virtual aircraft simulations with human and system actors in the loop:
✔ Two ANSPs – Oro Navigacija (ON) and Latvijas Gaisa Satiksme (LGS)
✔ Frequentis USSP platform
✔Honeywell Ground Control Station
✔UAS operator: Volatus Aerospace Europe

This activity validated both the procedures and system-to-system information exchange, proving that unmanned cargo operations across borders are not only possible but reliable in the defined solution operating environment.
