Team for Solution A in the Spanish cluster successfully performed the final validation exercise on the 18th November in Malaga and Granada.
The final validation exercise in the Spanish cluster, with in total 4 real flights, to validate and test the developped procedures for eVTOL in real operational environment at and between two controlled airports of different size, with Málaga Airport and Granada Airport, are successfully completed.
Beside the validation of potential independent eVTOL and Uspace procedures, trajectories and corridors within controlled and uncontrolled airspace class D and G, we where also able to validate potential workload implications for pilots and ATC due to the newly developped procedures as well as potential safe distances between a Vertiport and an active runway for independent operations. All together very important results for the future implementation of eVTOL and Uspace services also at and between Airports.
Special thanks to Aena and the involved airports, to ENAIRE and the controllers and to the pilots.
We’re looking forward to sharing more results at the end of the project. Stay tuned.
